Dr Michelle Trowse graduated from medical school at the University of Adelaide in 1993. She trained in psychiatry in South Australia and has worked as a Consultant Psychiatrist since 2002. After moving to Western Australia she completed further training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, being awarded Advanced Certificate in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
She has worked as a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist in a wide range of settings including inpatient and community clinics, and in the specialised Child & Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) unit, and Pathways, an intensive multidisciplinary program for primary school aged children where she acted as Head of Service for several years.
Dr Trowse has a broad interest in all areas of child and adolescent mental health and is keen to take a holistic approach with young people and their families. She is particularly interested in the impact of trauma in primary school aged children.
